I am a Paediatric Surgeon with keen interest and expertise in paediatric urology, hypospadias surgery and minimally access laparoscopic surgery.
I work as a Consultant Paediatric Surgeon at Sydney Children’s Hospital (SCH) at Randwick and Campbelltown Public Hospital. I have private consulting rooms at Prince of Wales private Hospital (POWP) and in Campbelltown.
I finished my medical school from Nagpur, India and was top of the class for the year 1993. I went on to train to become a paediatric surgeon and paediatric urologist from Mumbai University.
I got my FRACS in paediatric surgery in 2010, after training through Royal Children’s hospital and Monash medical centre in Melbourne, Westmead Children’s Hospital and at Sydney Children’s Hospital at Randwick, where I joined in as a consultant paediatric surgeon.
I have been the Head of Paediatric Urology at SCH, Randwick for 2016 -2018, and have keen interest in teaching and education, I am a Conjoint Senior Lecturer at University of New South Wales (UNSW) and Western Sydney University, Campbelltown. As the surgical supervisor of training at SCH, Randwick from 2010-2015, I was closely involved in teaching paediatric surgical trainees. I continue to teach as an Instructor on the APLS (advanced paediatric life support) course.
I am a member of national and international paediatric surgical and urological societies that include Indian Association of Paediatric Surgeons, International society for vascular anomalies, International Fetal Medicine and Surgery Society, Asia Pacific Association of Paediatric Urology and International Society of Surgical Pediatric oncology International Paediatric Endosurgery Group, British Association of Paediatric Surgery, Society of paediatric urologists of New Zealand and Australia, Urological society of Australia and New Zealand, Australia and New Zealand association of paediatric surgeons.
I have published, presented and attend both national and international meetings involving paediatric surgery and urology ongoing education. I am keen on outreach services.
